Water from Heaven is published

I know, I’ve left you hanging – did Mark and I survive our trip across the not-so-Pacific Ocean on Adrenalin? How much weight did I lose from all those days of seasickness? Did things get better or worse? Will I ever go sailing again? Were we all still friends when we got off the boat?

There is a very good reason why I haven’t written the rest of that story, or any other new ones. Three years ago, I posted a draft of the first chapter of a book I was writing about my friend in the UAE, Cindy Davis. The working title was Leap of Faith. I knew then that I was committing myself – if I told the world I was writing a book, I’d have to follow through.

It was a dream that took a total of five years to see through, but I am thrilled to announce that the book, now called Water from Heaven, is out on Amazon on Kindle and in paperback. It is available in the UK, Australia, and many countries in Europe and Asia, but not in Arab countries, including the UAE. Cindy and I are now searching for company to publish and distribute it there.

Meanwhile, I can get back to writing blog stories, and perhaps even turn some of them into another book. Until then, I hope Wildcardtravels readers will be able to get hold of Water from Heaven in some form or other. It’s a wonderful story about a love that crosses cultures – and blends them to make a life.
